Provision of services
To classify the Dodo Travel & Tours products and services that we offer (holidays, reservations,…), we use the international standards as our basis but also a classification scale of which an example is given hereafter for the hotel products:

- 1 Dodo or Economy: Basic low cost accommodation and services.
- 2 Dodos or Functional: Accommodation and services of average quality.
- 3 Dodos or Standard: Accommodation and services of good quality and value with comfortable rooms.
- 4 Dodos or Deluxe: Accommodation and services of quality with comfortable and well equipped rooms with standard facilities (safe, mini bar, TV,…) and possibility of sporting activities.
- 5 Dodos or Deluxe Plus: Accommodation and services of a very good quality with top of the range rooms with air-conditioning, safe, mini bar, hair-dryer, satellite TV and offering a wide range of sporting activities and additional services.
- 6 Dodos or Prestige: Accommodation and services of an outstanding level, with a level of quality and services above the 5 star and an offer of sites that are exceptional and unique.

Dodo Travel & Tours position their offer towards the top of the range and are committed to offer the best for each of their star destinations.
However, for reasons of access, offer or other, we may have to include in exceptional circumstances some services – accommodation for instance – below the 3 star standard but we guarantee in this case a product offering a minimum of quality, security and services. If however no service offering were to match this minimum demanded by Dodo Travel & Tours, an alternative would be offered.

For example, in some of our tours in Madagascar, the lack of quality hotel accommodations has led us to offer deluxe camping facilities. Besides, we would like to make it clear here that apart from a few exceptions, the majority of the deluxe hotel offerings in Madagascar are of the 3 Dodos standard.

Because Dodo Travel & Tours position themselves towards the top end, they will not offer you any holidays and very few services within the 1 and 2 star classification.

Flights
The flights offered by Dodo Travel & Tours are regular flights available through GDS and our ticketing specialists will offer you the most competitive rates available.
We can also offer you private flights and we will select our suppliers using strict criteria to measure quality and security.

Board
Our offers can include various board options, either a breakfast option, half-board or full board.

Vehicles and Chauffeurs
The means of transport we offer you will depend on the local traffic conditions. We ask our suppliers to guarantee the good state of repair of their vehicles and proceed to regular checks. We put at their disposal general maps of the country. The vehicles must be fitted with a first aid kit.
The chauffeurs/guides must be in possession of all the necessary papers in compliance with the local authorities to allow you to travel freely over the country. They have been selected for their ability to drive well. They are mainly bilingual French or English. But on your request, at an additional charge and subject to availability, we can offer you chauffeurs speaking Italian, Spanish, German, Russian or other languages. They boast a general knowledge of the country and can be a main guide for the various stages of your trip as they know their country very well, its characteristics, its history and they like to talk about it and help people discover it. They all have in common their enthusiasm and a desire that you keep an unforgettable memory of your holidays.

Specialist Guides
When visiting sites needing an in-depth knowledge, Dodo Travel & Tours coordinates an external team of professional guides who will impart you with their specialist knowledge (history, botany, ornithology…).
Often born in the country of your destination, they are well-known for their expertise and knowledge, they have degrees from the relevant recognised bodies and just as our chauffeurs, our guides are mainly bilingual French or English. But on your request, at an additional charge and subject to availability, we can offer you guides speaking Italian, Spanish, German, Russian or other languages.
Just as our internal teams, they are full of enthusiasm and their main objective is to make sure that the discovery of their country and the sites that are part of it are moments of your holidays you will never forget.

Ecotourism
Aware of the importance of preserving the environment, we try whenever possible to choose suppliers and approaches favorable to ecotourism.

Tariffs
We do not want your holiday budget to become a bad memory, so we endeavour to give you tariffs that:
- include the main activities of the selected holiday,
- are as close as possible to an “all inclusive” rate
- detail what is and what is not included in the price.
This policy of price transparency is an important element of the trust that our customers show us and the security for them that their budget is in control.

Dealing with complaints

We are aware that we are not above receiving complaints from you and are keen to use quality criteria to ensure we deal with them in the best possible way. Our commitment therefore is to confirm to you by email that we have received your complaint and to inform you of the timescale in which we intend to respond depending on the nature of your request.
