“Just imagine the change of scene felt by those traders from the East India Company, when they sailed along the Coromandel Coast, at the beginning of the XVIII century.

One can visualise their amazement on discovering Pondichery, with its colours, its perfumes fragrant with tropical oils, the spicy flavour of its cuisine, its fabrics in the most wonderful shades and hues, its furniture carved in precious wood and its crafts fashioned over centuries.

We fancy offering this same feeling to Paradise Cove residents, from the moment they are welcomed on arrival.

We have aimed to recreate the wonder inspired by Indian trading posts, subtly mixed with Mauritian exoticism”.

The Paradise Cove Hotel and Spa is situated at Anse La Raie, on the extreme North Coast of Mauritius Island; 60 km from the airport and only 5 km from the trendy village of Grand Bay, which stretches around a stunning bay, with an impressive array of tourist attractions.

The Rooms

With only 67 rooms, The Paradise Cove & Spa is the most secluded high-class resort in Mauritius.

There are 20 Pondichery Rooms of 50 m² each with king size beds. It can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child.

The Pondichery Rooms are located on the ground floor and first floor level of the hotel. We have connecting Pondichery to Pondichery and Pondichery connecting to Junior Suite.

The style of the room will amaze you with its elegance and exoticism. The colour scheme and decoration have been worked out to reflect the “pondichery” style.

The atmosphere of the room is highlighted with a combination of silk fabrics and furniture in precious woods.

The wall behind the bed is either turquoise with a violet lotus or green with a fuchsia lotus.

These colour schemes really create a relaxing ambiance.

There are 27 “A Thousand and One Nights” Rooms, (1001 Nights) of 50m² each with king size beds located on the 1st and 2nd floor with superb view on the sea and ocean. These rooms are among the best romantic rooms.

Nested on the last floor, gives the possibility to have a very intimate atmosphere.

The room has been decorated to create a cocoon ambiance for people who like romance.

The curtain drop and the silk cushions obviously enhance the romantic atmosphere.

The furniture which is of precious wood and the mirrors on both sides of the bed will amaze you by its style.

The Indian style hanging lamp in the room also adds exoticism to the room.

The crafts that have been used add details to the rooms and remind people that it is sometimes the little details that make big difference.

In fact this room blends elegance, style and atmosphere to create the best romantic set up.

There are 18 Junior Suites of 60 m² located on the ground floor and first floor with king size beds.

This room is more spacious with a living room corner and has a magnificent view. It can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child.

The Junior Suite is an elegant room and the living room corner provides the perfect set up for intimate moments.

The decoration will definitely remind you about the Pondichery style.

The wall behind the bed is orange with a red lotus. The furniture which is made of precious wood reminds you of the craftsmanship of people from India.

The attention to details will impress you with its style.

This room will definitely please people looking for an intimate, cozy and romantic atmosphere.

The Room & Junior Suite Amenities:

Balcony or terrace with view of the lagoon, the beach and the gardens. Individual air conditioning, spacious bathroom with dressing, bathtub, showers and separate toilets.

flat screen TV with remote control, satellite channels and radio, coffee and tea facilities, a mini-bar, an electronic safe, a hair dryer.

There are 2 Senior Suites of 90 m², The "Maharani and Maharajah", each which are located on the ground floor.

They have larger bathrooms, big living room, Kitchenette and two terraces offering a nice view over the cove and gardens.

It can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children.

This suite has an elegant, rustic and colonial style with furniture made of precious woods. The influence of the East India Company is obviously there.

The bed room has a four pillar bed which adds more exoticism to the room. 

The Suite has a big living room and offers wonderful set up for informal gatherings or evening teas.

This suite will make you enjoy a relaxing moment while being in a spacious and very elegant atmosphere.

The Restaurants & Bar

The Main Restaurant "La Belle Creole"

The main restaurant is very friendly and divided into three dining rooms of Asian, Indian and African/ Creole inspiration.

It overlooks the pool and turquoise blue cove, set in white sand and crowned by a magnificent waterfall.

Every day, you will be welcomed for breakfast and dinner, with a choice of 4 menus, which highlight an array of international and Mauritian dishes.

Three full days are dedicated to Mauritian, Indian or island cooking.

The Romantique Restaurant "La Cocoteraie"

This charming spot, open for lunch and dinner, is decorated with lovely wooden furniture, in the shade of a straw hut or of coconut leaves.

These romantically inclined will be lulled by the murmur of the sea, in dining rooms for 2, built on stilts.

Theme evenings are earmarked for a seafood extravaganza.

The Panoramic Restaurant

The beach bar / restaurant is displayed over the peninsula, poised over the ocean and its myriad blues, to reveal a stunning view of the 5 islets, bordering the coastline.

Seafood grills and salads are the ideal meal in luncheon spots, which seem set by chance; here along a path of white sand, or there next to basaltic stone steps leading down to the sea.

The Cozy Corner

In the heart of the residence, the terrace of the cocktail bar opens onto the garden, the pool and the beach and offers snacks for lunch.

A great meeting place for five o'clock tea and pancakes, a few days a week, the bar dons its evening clothes, by candlelight, for evening drinks and shows.

N.B. The dress code for all restaurants is smart/ casual, in the evening and gentlemen are kindly requested to wear long trousers.

The Spa
